Bacterial Adhesion on Glass–Ionomer Cements and Micro/Nano Hybrid Composite Dental Surfaces

چکیده

Dental restorations need to reproduce the aspect of natural teeth patient, and must be non-toxic, biocompatible, have good mechanical properties so that they can last for longer. The aim this study was determine extent bacterial adhesion Streptococcus mutans on four different dental material surfaces, i.e., two glass–ionomer cements (Fuji conventional Fuji hybrid) ceramic composites (Micro hybrid composite Nano composite). To understand these materials, various surface were measured: roughness, contact angle, CIE color parameters zeta potential. We found greatest obtained surface. pronounced is interplay between relatively high roughness hydrophilicity Color changes upon immersing in red wine black tea proved both beverages adhered them. Black more intensively than wine, showed a higher inhibitory effect growth Staphylococcus aureus.

Bacterial adhesion to and viability on positively charged polymer surfaces.

Secondary and tertiary amino groups were introduced into polymer chains grafted onto a polyethylene flat-sheet membrane to evaluate the effects of surface properties on the adhesion and viability of a strain of the Gram-negative bacterium Escherichia coli and a strain of the Gram-positive bacterium Bacillus subtilis. The characterization of the surfaces containing amino groups, i.e. ethylamino ...

Fluoride content and recharge ability of five glassionomer dental materials

BACKGROUND The relationship between fluoride content and fluoride release for glass-ionomer cements is not well understood. The aim of this laboratory study was: to determine the fluoride concentrations at the surfaces of glass-ionomer materials with respect to different storage media and different pH environments; to examine the recharge ability of the materials after NaF immersion; and to ass...

Bacterial Adhesion to Food Contacting Surfaces

Contamination of kitchen surfaces, during food preparation, due to bacteria present in foodstuff is one of the main causes of foodborne outbreaks. Cells adhered to those surfaces of domestic kitchens are not easily removed by normal cleaning procedures. Therefore, they can be a source of contamination for other foods and objects. Several studies indicate that various pathogenic bacteria like Li...
